On 3rd July, 2007 in Berlin, Germany premier Angela Merkel held the 3rd energy resource conference with the people from energy enterprises?economy industry and environmental protection industry. After the conference, she declared that Germany government will set down the energy-saving measures to further drive the climate protection plan.
Merkel said the council of ministers of Germany will discuss the main points of energy-saving measures in August this year. These measures include the scale extension for energy-saving modification?the energy-saving efficiency advance for apparatus?the promotion for electro thermal coupling device and the enhancement of electric market competition. She said from 2010 Germany government and economic circles will inspect the climate protection target by dialogue.
According to the agreement signed by last Germany government and nuclear energy enterprise, Germany will completely terminate the nuclear energy generation before 2020. But the regenerative energy can not make up the power gap, some people from German political and enterprise circles consider to postpone the above time limit. Regarding to this issue, Merkel stressed the current government will not discuss the postponement for the close of nuclear power station during the duration of current term of office.
In April 2006, the German government leaders and the people from economic circles held the 1st energy conference in Berlin, discussing the future energy policy of Germany. It was thought on conference that Germany should set down a long-term energy strategy till 2020 before the end of 2007. |
