Croatia and Hungary Sign an Agreement to Set Multi-national Electric Transmission Line
The power company of Croatia, HEP, and the Mavir company of Hungary signed an agreement in middle of July at the eastern city of Osijek for the connection between Ernestinovo, Croatia and Pecs of Hungary by 2X400KV ground living wire, the total length reaches 86.4 kilometers with 44.1 kilometers inside Croatia, the total amount of the agreement up to Eur.40, 000, 000, and the project will be put into use in 2010.
 
This living wire will enhance the power supply safety in the Northeastern part of Croatia, advance the stability of the power supply system between the two countries, extend power supply and advance the international energy line construction between the North and South. The minister of economic dept. of Croatia attended the signature ceremony, he pointed out that before 2013, Croatia will still invest Eur. 2,500,000,000 into the establishment construction on strategic energy.
